The first Friday of every month Missoula has a party. Art studios open and provide snacks, camera shops serve free brewskies, people perform on the street(read here: white people poorly performing belly dances), live bands abound, and Missoula is at its weirdest.
We like to walk around and people watch, occasionally stopping to look at galleries and such. Friday we started at a small local tea shop. While we perused teas and a photo display a woman walked up and tapped Dietrich on the shoulder. "Excuse me, this might be strange, but I REALLY like your beard. I want to give you this(see below). If you sign up and come to this festival you could win Montana's first facial hair competition!" She promptly disappeared into the crowd. Mysterious and delightful. We consider this coaster a recognition of sorts, of Dietrich's diligent efforts in growing whiskers.
Also, an update about the accident in front of our house! My co worker sent me this craigslist ad today (http://missoula.craigslist.org/mis/3718293833.html). How about that!
