Spring Fling Bazaar etc.

We were contacted about a month ago about participating in a Spring Fling Bazaar at the CAFC Foursquare church.  We said "why not?" and signed up.  It turned out to be a lot of direct sales small businesses (i.e. Tupperware and Scentsy).  There wasn't much traffic at all, but we managed to sell a few things to get our money back and more.  We drastically improved our displays from previous sales that we plan to use for the People's Market in downtown Missoula this summer.  We celebrated our hard work afterwards by sneaking burritos into the theatre to watch The Great and Powerful Oz.  Great fun.
Abigail created the pennant and she jerry-rigged some dowel rods to majorly add to our display.  Our hat display is an upside-down stool with plastic bowls screwed on the legs.  The lady in the space right behind ours was an instant friend - she basically told us her life story and showed us pictures of her son winning a roller car derby.

Our pants display came from the handy Home Resource - it is an old drawer that Abigail lined with fabric...the dinosaur was a Christmas gift from my best friend and lover.
Also from Home Resource:  We found this tripod and bicycle rim lying around and decided it would make a perfect lazy susan-type clothing rack.  We found a bolt that was just the right size and stuck it down the middle to keep the rim from falling off.  Worked like a charm.
Thank you Rebekah and Dollar General for our little bird friends.  Anybody spy the targets in the background?  We found out that the church has a "hunter safety" class where a bunch of kids get together in the gym and shoot arrows at the targets (perhaps good first aid training as well?)...the man that informed us was selling nachos and pickles throughout the craft sale, shouting "Nachooos" at the people he knew.

Some new spring additions.

Spring is Here!.....and it is still snowing in Missoula...
This is the view from our East windows.  Do you spy Abigail updating our Etsy store?

In other news, we are going to see Josh Ritter and the Royal City Band along with Lake Street Dive at the Wilma on Monday.  Should be a fun show.  We used our work Christmas bonuses (Missoula Downtown Association gift cards) from The Pov and the YWCA to purchase the tickets - Thank you!

The Transformation

Dietrich got a HAIRCUT! Certainly not a beard trim though...he loves it too much.Who couldn't love this man? Also, it's that time of Winter when we appear to be sickly, but we're just lacking sunshine.
