Exponential Bunnies

On Valentine's Day Dietrich finally consented to adopting a rabbit! I immediately started perusing Craigslist before he changed his mind. Birch Beardsley Chewingson is the delightful result.

Last night I heard what sounded like a rubber ball squeaking in our back yard. I remembered a similar sound when my childhood beagle has gotten into a bunny nest years ago. Kelly and I grabbed a flashlight and saw, to our horror, a neighborhood stray cat cornering a baby bunny behind our porch. We recovered said bunny and found he had only a slight cut on his chin. It was raining and cold so we brought him inside. He seems to be old enough to survive on his own, but we figured putting him out would only invite the cat to finish him off. So, here he is taking a meditative retreat at Peace House.

Tonight our roommate, Kelly, decided to collect two lopp-eared bunnies of her own. She couldn't resist how they snuggled together at the store.

And so we, who claimed to never desire pets, find ourselves nearly outnumbered by cute, fluffy, snuggly bunnies.
