Homeward Bound, Continued...

After Boulder we continued on to Kansas City, MO.  Our friend has an aunt that lives there and she graciously took us in.  We got in around 10pm and she had a meal ready for us of steak and shrimp.  She also fixed us breakfast in the morning.  She was so kind!  Pictured below is her place in Weston, MO.  Thank you, Judy!

The next day we traveled on to Columbus, OH, where a beautiful family awaited us.  The matriarch looked suspiciously like me...

It was my turn to lead with a silly walk.

We visited a working homestead just outside of Columbus and this lady was boiling down tomatoes.

A game of "who can use these?"

Concentration

Here is Tom, showing off his 19th century skills

...and Silas got in on the fun

...and Claire

This was eerily hanging in the barn.

Eliza got a kick out of making this one gobble - scared the wits out of me.

We also visited a close by park where we ate lunch, horsed around, napped, and went on a nature hike (guided by Silas, himself).

Leaping like frogs...

...turns into leapfrog, naturally.

The Moss Princess

There was some napping...

...and some gnome-house building...

...and the most beautiful woman on earth graced us with her presence.
We had a wonderful time with the Mast family - we even got in a game of Password.  We very much enjoyed Eliza speaking the lyrics to a song as Silas sang them.  Thanks for opening up your home to us weary travelers.  On to PA!
